Job Summary:

This full-time position will provide support to the Field Director and the UW Survey Center (UWSC) Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) department supervisors for all of the CATI projects that are performed in the CATI Lab. Serve in capacity of Lead Worker for the CATI Lab. Manage and assign the work of 30-40 CATI Interviewers. Previous CATI experience, knowledge of standardized interviewing technique and refusal aversion/conversion techniques preferred. Immediate supervisory duties will be the responsibility of the Field Director and the CATI Supervisors. Adhere to UWSC standards relating to confidentiality and study protocols.

Responsibilities: Supports the development, design, and implementation of research projects according to plans, under the general direction of faculty and/or senior research personnel, following established protocols and guidelines to support and advance research in a given field under general supervision.

  • 60% Assists with conducting experiments or interviews, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting results according to established protocols
  • 5% Assists in composing and organizing research reports and manuscripts to provide updates on unit objectives
  • 5% Schedules logistics and secures resources for research supplies, equipment, and facilities
  • 5% Tracks supply and equipment inventory levels and places replenishment orders
  • 5% Maintains organization of research records according to established policies and procedures
  • 20% Serve in the capacity of Lead Worker for the UW Survey Center, including overseeing other Research Coordinators performing social science data collection

Education:

Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree

Qualifications:

One year of experience working in a CATI environment and administering interviews in a social science setting preferred. Experience with supervision and data entry preferred. Knowledge of CASES software desired. Strong organization and people skills and attention to detail required.

Work Schedule:

This position may require regular early mornings (7am) start times during the week and evening & weekend work.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
