£44,737 to £51,805 per annum

Are you keen to take the lead on managing the operations of a busy university catering department?

UEA Catering Services (https://www.uea.ac.uk/uea-life/campus-life/eat-and-drink) are keen to hire a Catering & Hospitality Operations Manager to take the lead in all operational areas of the business, ensuring top levels of customer service, food delivery, and safety management. The Campus Kitchen brand has 13 outlets across the UEA campus, with food and service styles ranging from grab-and-go, street food style menus, fine dining, and a busy hospitality delivered catering department. This role will oversee the operations in all areas and will be a mainspring behind the successful deliverance of daily, monthly and yearly targets, with a keen eye for development and team growth.

Is this position right for me?

This role isn’t for the faint hearted – the right candidate will love building staff morale and will be a role model for the department, developing training and line managing operational teams. You’ll also be knowledgeable on factors that financially underpin Campus Kitchen and the wider catering market, growing income in outlets whilst having a keen eye for cost saving and managing resources.  

You will be a driving force for testing new food trends with our large base of students and staff, whilst also understanding the importance of upholding and implementing university legislation. You’ll deputise for the Head of Catering & Hospitality when required, and you will know how to deliver tough decisions when needed. 

The role requires a manager who is ready to work hours as required by the business to ensure we deliver a service to the highest standard and are excited to take on a significant position within the university’s management structure.
