Catering Assistant (Aberbean Cafe)

In this role you will join our team based in The Aberbean Cafe in The Sir Duncan Rice Library (although circumstances and business commitments may require the post holder to work in other locations). You will assist the team working in this cafe to serve drinks and snacks as well as keeping the area clean and tidy.

You will be required to provide high quality work and ensure the highest standards of service are produced and maintained. Also to demonstrate a positive attitude to further training and professional development and a flexible approach to location of work and the tasks involved.

The successful candidate should have previous catering experience, work well both independently and as part of a team, be well organised and able to use their initiative. They will have high standards of personal hygiene and presentation, have good communication and customer service skills and be able to work effectively under pressure at peak trading times. 

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 1, £20, 068 per annum (pro rata) which is £10.57 per hour.

Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and probation period.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.

Due to the nature of the requirements of this post, homeworking is not considered appropriate.

This post does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post that require sponsorship to work in the UK.
