CATERING & HOSPITALITY ASSISTANT (KITCHEN PORTER)  

Term time only, working 38 weeks per year

£18,898 per annum (£10.02 per hour) pro rata for term time only

The Catering & Hospitality Assistants play an important role in the UEA’s ‘The Campus Kitchen’, in providing effective support, to the highest standard, in the operation of all food services throughout the day. 

The tasks undertaken range from assisting with store deliveries, preparation of foods and hospitality deliveries, general cleaning and washing of equipment, to serving teas, coffee and prepared dishes to a variety of customers and assisting at functions and events. 

You will demonstrate the ability to manage your time effectively within a fast-paced environment; be of professional appearance; consistently demonstrate good customer service; display enthusiasm and a positive approach to work and have a willingness to help your team. 

Previous experience of working in a hospitality environment and a food hygiene setting is preferred, but not essential. You will be required to work 36 ¼ hours per week across any 5 in 7 days.

This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis working term time only, 38 weeks per year.
