Job Description

Assist with mail processing, including opening, sorting, and preparing deposit tickets for daily deposits. Serve as lead cashier back-up as needed. Prepare and copy daily deposits as batches to be entered by gift processors. Assist with maintaining paper records by filing, scanning and indexing gift documentation. Assist with file retention, including preparing, packing and logging records for retention and/or destruction. Assist with special projects like preparing annual receipts for mailing, review of daily gift entry for accuracy and other tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

Previous data entry and bookkeeping/accounting experience. Demonstrated customer service experience in a high volume professional environment. Demonstrated proficiency with current office computer software such as electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets and relational database applications. Ability to work independently and handle confidential materials and information. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Must be willing to work as member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in accounting or related field. Experience in a higher education institution. Previous experience with large databases

Commensurate with Experience
