Macquarie University
PRIMARY DETAIL

• Appointment Type: Full time, continuing
THE ROLE
The Macquarie Business School (MQBS) Student Experience team delivers a range of programs, events and initiatives to promote student success and experience, execute the School’s Student Experience strategy and enable achievement of the School’s Education and Employability goals and priorities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a suitable candidate who is passionate about career and employability programs for post-experience courses, such as our Master of Business Administration, Global Master of Business Administration and Master of Applied Finance.
It is a varied role that will see you responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of events, projects and initiatives. This will include everything from development, communication strategies, event/ project planning and management, logistics, financial administration and post-event review, analysis and recommendations.
You will also coordinate alumni and industry (employer) engagement to increase work-integrated learning opportunities, employment and graduate success for the post-experience cohorts. The role will develop a framework for these career and employability initiatives and implement them in collaboration with other teams within the University.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have a strong customer service focus and be passionate about student experience, success and retention combined with thorough administration, marketing or event planning experience. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative, close-knit team, while relishing the responsibility of delivering your own successful events. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to adopt new systems, processes and technology quickly and efficiently.
Your current knowledge of trends, best practice and relevant research relating to career development and employability will enable you to enhance our MQBS programs and provide advice and support to MQBS post-experience students. You will be able to analyse and interpret data and translate that information into reports and papers.
While majority of events are held during business hours at the Wallumattagal (North Ryde) campus, there are events that may be held in the evening or over the weekend, and locations can vary between the Wallumattagal or City campus and other Sydney-based locations. The successful applicant will therefore need to be open to flexible hours and arrangements that enable them to attend and oversee the seamless delivery of their events.
You are someone who has a passion to see our students succeed in their careers and will be able to build strong relationships with our students and stakeholders.
