About the role

We are looking for a Cardiac Surgery Clinical Trials Administrator to join the department of Cardiovascular Sciences. 

In this key role you will work closely with members of the Cardiac Surgery Research Team, under the guidance of the Research Manager, as well as our external collaborators. The responsibilities of the post are to support the Cardiac Surgery Research Manager in the efficient delivery of the upcoming trials, ensuring timely accrual and the collection of high quality data and samples.

You will support the Cardiac Surgery Research Manager through the provision of a professional and confidential administrative support service, and provide general clerical support as required.

 

About you
To be successful in this role you will have either academic or vocational qualifications to GCSE level or equivalent with previous work experience in a relevant role. You will be familiar with the use of databases and have excellent IT skills. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a clinical trials environment and a familiarity with the Research Governance Framework. 
 
You will have strong communication skills  with the ability to work effectively individually and as part of team. You will be comfortable managing and prioritising your own workload to deal with urgent tasks, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
