Primary Purpose of Position This position is responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations and accounting management support for the Visualization Center, Computer Science department and provides some administrative support to the Bank of America Endowed Chair.
Minimum Education/Experience Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Four year degree in a related business function and one year of experience in accounts reconciliation, business processing, office management, or human resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Job Duties
  • Supports operations for Visualization Center/ Computer Science department in terms of administrative supports and account management.
  • Track expenditures, reconciliation, identify discrepancies and develop correct actions as needed for both state funds and external funds.
  • serves as an admin support for the Endowed Chair. Assists with processing Travel requests and procurement.
Other Work Responsibilities
  • Assists the department with monthly faculty meeting/minutes.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments and possess excellent communication skills to work effectively and productively in an interdisciplinary team.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • 4 year- degree or 5 years experience working in the Higher Ed environment
  • Experience with financial reconciliations of grant funds preferred
  • Experience with balancing budgets.
  • Familiar with using 49er Mart or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google suite.
