Primary Purpose of Position The Business Services Coordinator is a member of the Belk College of Business Finance & Personnel Team. This position manages the College’s temporary employee hiring (including graduate assistantships), the part-time faculty appointment process, scholarship processing, and Kronos support and oversight. In addition, this position provides support to the Assistant Director of Finance and Personnel in the areas of special payments, eCommerce administration, and General and Trust Fund management.
Minimum Education/Experience Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Four year degree in a related business function and two or more years of experience in accounts reconciliation, business processing, office management, or human resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Job Duties The Business Services Coordinator is part of the Belk College of Business Finance & Personnel Team and provides direct support to the Assistant Director and Director of Finance and Personnel. This position, along with 4 other team members, is responsible for processing all financial transactions and personnel actions originating in the Belk College of Business, an organization with six academic departments, the Center for Real Estate, and more than 150 permanent faculty and staff positions.
Specifically, this position administers the College’s part-time faculty and temporary employee appointment process (including graduate assistantships), serves as the College’s timekeeper (Kronos), and manages scholarship processing. The Business Services Coordinator completes Payment Book Receipts, as needed, to ensure that the College is in compliance with the Daily Deposit Act (eCommerce). In addition, this position supports the Assistant Director in the management of the College’s General and Trust funds.
Other Work Responsibilities The Business Services Coordinator acts as a back-up approver for 49er Mart and ESDPR processing and p-card transactions.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Prior experience working in higher education (minimum 2 years).
  • Experience working with Banner.
  • Knowledge of UNC Charlotte policies and procedures related to temporary appointments, including part-time faculty and graduate assistantships.
  • Experience with University systems: 49er Mart, Banner, or other similar university systems (preferred).
