Position Overview

The SHORE & Whariki Research Centre, Massey University two multidisciplinary research groups working in a Treaty of Waitangi partnership model to produce excellent research with the aim of improving health and wellbeing in Aotearoa, New Zealand and globally.

We are seeking a positive, solution-focused Business Manager with initiative and administrative flair to join our management team in a fixed term parental leave cover position through to August 2023.

As the successful candidate you will enjoy developing and applying a wide range of skills in an interesting and supportive research environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities are varied and include;

·  Supporting project management and funder relationships,
·  Human resources with direct support from our People and Culture partners
·  Office management and taking responsibility for financial management
·  Leading and mentoring the team of two

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate;

·   A tertiary qualification in business and/or finance preferred.
·   Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
·   Demonstrated organisational and office management expertise
·   Previous experience in administrative/financial management is essential.

Consideration may be given to those looking for a part time (minimum of 0.5 FT/18.75 hrs) or full time and a mix of in office and remote.
