Position Overview
The Center for Public Partnerships and Research (CPPR), a designated center within the Achievement and Assessment Institute (AAI), seeks a full-time Business Coordinator to coordinate projects and strategic priorities for CPPR’s business services. CPPR specializes in applied research, partner acceleration, and venture approaches that support our mission to optimize the well-being of children, youth, and families. CPPR drives change at local, state, and national levels through applied research, data science, digital and systems transformation, strategic foresight and innovation, and translation and dissemination efforts that support national, state, and community partners in realizing their vision for healthy, flourishing families and communities. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about social change for good.
The person in this position will coordinate the approval and processing of business transactions with CPPR staff, the Shared Service Centers, and Awards Management Services, including vendor invoices, interdepartmental sales, purchases, and PCard reconciliation. The person in this position will assist with policy development and communication related to CPPR financial operations management. The applicant should also be able to assess procedural barriers, actively and independently troubleshoot problems that may arise, and quickly develop and implement solutions with little oversight. This position is essential to the business and operations of CPPR. The coordinator will have access to a variety of privileged information and is expected to maintain confidentiality.
This position is contingent upon funding.

Position Requirements
Due to COVID restrictions, this position may begin teleworking (depending on start date and current health guidelines) and may transition to a hybrid of on-site work and telework when deemed safe and necessary. Fully remote-based candidates will be considered. Travel and in-person work may be required.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience OR Associate’s degree and 3 years of related experience OR high school diploma and 4 years of related experience.
2. At least two years of experience processing financial transactions as demonstrated by previous work history.
3. Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills, as evidenced by application materials and interview process.
4. At least two years of experience with the University of Kansas financials’ systems and processes as evidenced in application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working with sponsored research budgets and principal investigators.
2. Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work as a positive team member, as evidenced in work history and application materials.
