From Vienna, we cover Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Western Balkans, and Israel, though many projects span across the region. Business Sweden works with leading multinational companies and start-ups across all industries and our clients’ business is often driven by digitalisation, innovation and sustainability. Our consultancy services include e.g. market entry & growth strategies including M&A, sales acceleration, tech scouting as well as Business to Government support (B2G).Our focus is to grow the advisory part of our business and to become even more relevant in most important business ecosystems to help propel the international growth of Swedish companies. To help drive this journey, we are currently looking for an associate to join our team.What we offer

About our teamThe team in Vienna has a strong track record and consists of 7 people today but we need to grow and look forward to a new colleague. From Vienna we cover several markets – Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Western Balkans (Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia etc.) and Israel but we often work in a broader Central Eastern Europe (CEE) or Europe scope.What we are looking forYou are interested in working in a fast-paced, international environment, a steep learning curve and to work in a driven and energetic team supporting Swedish clients in their international growth journey. You are hardworking, analytical and will be working in project teams collecting and analyzing market insights and presenting to clients or client’s clients. Team spirit, social skills, and the ability to connecting the dots are also important since our work is much driven by interactions with external stakeholders.The job requires that you can handle multiple deadlines simultaneously. You will support senior colleagues in client dialogues, sales dialogues, identification of new business opportunities and in developing customer proposals. We have a strong and dedicated team, and we set the bar high for applicants’ aptitude for analyzing market drivers, interacting with corporate leaders, and solving problems in a challenging and exciting international setting.Formal requirements

  • You have a higher academic degree, preferably a Master of science in Business or Engineering or equivalent.
  • You either come straight from university or have 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
  • You have a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
  • You are a result-oriented, problem-solving, analytical, have a strong business acumen with above all a “can-do” attitude as well as a passion and ability to handle new challenges on behalf of our clients.
  • You have the desire to stretch your potential and to succeed. You desire to do so by developing a diversified skill set in the areas of management consulting, leadership and sales in a global environment.
  • You have excellent social and team-working skills and enjoy taking position in client- and stakeholder meetings and dialogues on how to realize the best path of growth.

Desired experience and skills

  • Professional experience from the CEE & SEE region.
  • Knowledge of Swedish, Hungarian, Hebrew or languages spoken in the Balkans is meriting.
