This position provides exceptional customer service by taking ownership of the customer experience.What You’ll DoResponsible for developing profitable new client relationships by leveraging centers of influence, existing clients & referral sourcesDevelop and execute business development plan to achieve loan & deposit, referrals, call planning/prospecting and fee income goalsTarget privately held businesses with revenues from $5 million – $15 millionWork closely with internal product partners (Treasury Management, Wintrust Wealth) to acquire new relationships and deepen existing relationshipsBuild strong client relationships to enhance the trusted advisor roleTake ownership of credit sheet content and quality by working closely with credit analysts on their successful and timely completionTake part in bank events during and after hoursResponsible for understanding the impact of lending on the bank’s CRA goalsQualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work historyStrong relationship management and business development skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsSolid understanding of general credit and risk principles, mitigates, and banking policies/procedures; formal bank credit training is preferredMinimum of 8 years of commercial banking experience, at least 5 years of business development experience in business banking/commercial lending environmentPrior experience managing a diverse portfolio and complex commercial relationships within the business banking or middle market spaceStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiateStrong interpersonal skills with a proven ability establishing client relationships and working within a team environmentExcellent organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflowBenefitsMedical Insurance • Dental • Vision • Life insurance • Accidental death and dismemberment • Short-term and long-term Disability Insurance • Parental Leave • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Traditional and Roth 401(k) with company match • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) • Employee Stock Purchase Plan at 5% discount • Critical Illness Insurance • Accident Insurance • Transportation and Commuting Benefits • Banking Benefits • Pet Insurance#LI-OnsiteFrom our first day in business, Wintrust has been proud to serve a variety of unique communities and people from all walks of life.
