The Office of the Chancellor is seeking a Business and Finance Administrator who will be primarily responsible for supporting financial, human resources, and business activities for the Office of the Chancellor (OTC), as well as the units that report through the OTC. Working with the Senior Director, Business and Finance and the Director, Business and Finance, this position is responsible for:

  • Reconciling multiple departments’ operating, discretionary, research, and capital project accounts and maintaining the Tableau financial system
  • Preparing financial analyses, reports, and actions
  • Providing purchasing support for PantherExpress agreements, requisitions, and payments
  • Completing regular business activities such as compliance requirements, expense report approvals, and database maintenance
  • Ensuring that all business and finance practices follow University policies and procedures and providing guidance to staff in the units reporting through the OTC
  • Assisting with human resources functions such as payroll register reviews and Pitt Worx transactions
  • Providing pre-award and post-award support for sponsored projects, as needed
  • Completing special projects as directed by the Senior Director, Business and Finance or Director, Business and Finance.

 

Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted per university guidelines.
