Description We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. Located in Waterbury, Connecticut, this role is part of our Project Management Office (PMO), where you will be tasked with managing and reporting on project assignments. Your primary objective will be to steer a variety of strategic business projects to successful completion. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Develop and sustain robust, collaborative relationships with all levels of the business.
• Extract business requirements for strategic business projects, evaluate, analyze, and document sponsor/stakeholder needs.
• Utilize Business Analyst constructs such as use cases, user scenarios, current state vs future state, process maps, etc., as tools to provide a comprehensive depiction of the business need.
• Work effectively with stakeholders from various business areas.
• Oversee assigned projects through our established PMO process, demonstrating sound judgement based on a thorough understanding of PMO practices and knowledge of business operations.
• Set project expectations and employ various strategies to maintain urgency and prevent projects from stalling.
• Identify and communicate risks, involving the business to address them to the best possible outcome.
• Reflect on and communicate lessons learned from projects, using this information to continually enhance future project work and the PMO process.
• Act as a mentor to assist less experienced Project Managers/Business Analysts in developing skills.
• Display leadership and innovative analysis to tackle project obstacles.
• Lead IT projects contributing to continual improvement by envisioning the end goal and leading the determination of process, adoption, training, communication, and maintenance components to successfully launch efforts. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related field
• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira is required
• Demonstrated experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Must have strong skills in performing Gap Analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is necessary
• Prior experience with AB Testing is desirable
• Must have knowledge and experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
• Should have understanding of Business Process Functions
• Experience in preparing Business Requirement Documents is essential
• Familiarity with Claim Administration is a plus Technology Doesn’t Change the World, People Do.®
