Business Analyst in Okemos, Michigan

Description

We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for a Business Analyst in Okemos, Michigan. This role is in the non-profit industry and is centered around analyzing business policies and processes to improve workflow and satisfy client IT needs. The Business Analyst will also be involved in analyzing complex data, documenting applications, and assisting with IT proposal documentation and development.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing policies and processes to understand their impact on workflow and identify client IT needs.

• Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and resolve their business, functional, and technical requirements, ensuring a proper audit trail.

• Analyze complex data sets and interpret results into meaningful reports, graphs, and other documents.

• Collaborate with the technical team to analyze, recommend, and communicate proposed solutions.

• Document applications for both internal technical use and external user manuals, and provide user training on applications as necessary.

• Assist in the creation and development of IT proposal documentation.

• Work closely with internal IT staff to ensure developed applications meet client/stakeholder needs and expectations.

• Conduct gap analyses and create business cases.

• Resolve and document conflicting requirements.

• Assist in project scope management.

Requirements • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and other project management tools

• Experience working with CRM platforms

• Strong understanding and experience in Gap Analysis

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience in AB Testing and Agile Scrum methodologies

• Familiarity with Business Process Functions and Business Requirement Document

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Knowledge of Workflow Analysis

• Experience with Automated Test and Automated Regression Testing

• Strong understanding of Regression Analysis

• Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Proven ability to create Proposal Documents and engage in Proposal Development

• Experience in Data or Gap Analysis

• Prior experience in the non-profit sector is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
