The Business Administration Manager, Phase 1, is responsible for leading programme and resource management to support delivery and development of the MB ChB Medicine degree at Leicester Medical School. You will work closely with senior academics, GP educators, fellow managers and a dedicated professional services support team to lay the foundations upon which our outstanding teaching and clinical training can be delivered. The Phase 1 Team is the first point of engagement for newly registered students at Leicester Medical School, focusing on driving service improvement through long-term planning, process improvement and the coordination of team activity.
The role will appeal to those with passion for supporting students and developing staff, an enthusiasm for process improvement and an ambition to develop a career in Higher Education management. Business Administration Managers are key members of the School’s management teams, contributing to decision-making and implementing processes that support the development of the next generation of doctors.
About you
You will have relevant experience in a comparable role and be familiar with academic regulations.
Driven by the importance of meeting customer needs, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to developing high quality administrative services. You will have experience managing a team of staff and will possess strong organisational skills with the ability to manage pressure and prioritise both your and your team’s workloads. You will be motivated by providing the very best experience to our students and staff, whilst giving your team the skills and experience to thrive under your leadership. Your communication and interpersonal skills will help you engage with other others to quickly build relationships both within the University and with stakeholders from external institutions, particularly the NHS.
