Job Summary:

This position works under the direction of the Facilities Management Specialist and general supervision of the Building & Grounds Superintendent to achieve organized and efficient daily operation of either the Stadium Command Center at Camp Randall Stadium or Arena Control Office at the Kohl Center. This position requires: the monitoring and operation of all life safety, monitoring and operation of all automated building controls in Camp Randall Stadium or Kohl Center complexes, operation and monitoring of CCTV cameras within the assigned facilities and surrounding areas, assisting with the upkeep of the hard key inventory for associated athletic facilities (which may include issuing keys to coaches, staff and serve personnel and logging issued and returned keys), maintaining personnel card access database, assisting with security requests, doing door checks around the Stadium or Kohl Center and general office duties, as assigned.
Additional duties may include: overseeing loading dock operations, check-in of deliveries and delivering mail to offices.
Good public relations and communication skills are imperative due to the extent of interaction with customers and staff. This position functions closely with other staff and departments to work as a team, but also requires the ability to work and make decisions independently.
Staff will serve as role models by practicing exemplary behaviors when working with customers and fellow staff members. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other departments and the public.

Responsibilities: Patrols selected buildings and/or sites to identify, report, and potentially resolve security issues, responds to emergencies, and assists in the investigation of incidents to provide dedicated protection and security to institution properties, students, staff and visitors. Provides assistance with administrative or operational unit tasks.
  • 10% Completes security and safety checks on institutional property by vehicle patrol, foot patrol, and bicycle patrol or at a fixed location
  • 10% Responds to emergency situations, assists with safety and security investigations, and accurately documents activities according to established policies, procedures, and applicable laws
  • 75% Assists with routine unit administrative operational activities
  • 5% Engages in problem solving and community engagement with security issues

Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
