Position Details
| General Statement | Using independent judgement and in cooperation with other office staff, the person in this position will provide budget and fiscal management support for a variety of academic and non-academic units. The person in this position works with a wide range of fund types, providing complex data analysis and financial management expertise to Deans, Directors, and Department Heads. This position works closely with Business Operations Managers and administrative staff within units regarding fiscal and budget management and will liaise with central offices. This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex budgetary and financial information. Along with analysis, they also oversee a variety of financial processes, making recommendations for improvement where applicable. The role uses independent problem-solving skills and varied sources of data to answer questions regarding unit resources and trends. They make assessments regarding a specific unit’s financial condition and long-range financial planning, making recommendations to decision-makers as needed. |
