| Brief Position Overview | The Budget & Finance Manager will provide leadership and expertise in the development and administration of business, financial planning, and personnel management of the new Student Wellness Center facility, slated to open in 2024. This position reports to the Associate Vice President Student Wellness with a dotted line to the Director of the University Budget Office. This role develops and manages Student Wellness area budgets, collaborating with department Directors, staff and Fiscal Shared Services to maximize financial resources for Student Wellness, which functions as an auxiliary unit at MSU. |

Position Details
| General Statement | The Budget & Finance Manager is a member of the Student Wellness operations team which provides strategic direction and tools for long range budget strategy and business planning. The Manager works with department business managers, Fiscal Shared Services partners, and human resources partners to execute all financial matters related to procurement services, human resources and payroll, and applies University policies and guidelines for fiscally responsible execution of Student Wellness operations. This position will ensure consistency of financial and business processes within Student Wellness and ensure that all departments comply with university, state, and federal policies. In collaboration with Fiscal Shared Services, The Manager will execute standard operating procedures in the accounting roles for each area. Related duties encompass all aspects of administrative management within a growing entity. This position will oversee daily business operations within Student Wellness and requires considerable organization, focus, analytical and technical skills. |
