Stanford Biodesign in the School of Medicine provides medical technology innovation training to teams of doctors, engineers and business students who identify a medical need, develop an invention to fill it, and create a plan for bringing the technology forward into patient care. Our mission is to train students, fellows and faculty in the Biodesign Process: a systematic approach to needs finding and the invention and implementation of new biomedical technologies.
Biodesign is seeking a Program Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for the Health Policy Director. This includes managing the Director’s calendar, meetings, schedule, travel and reimbursement and email correspondence. The Program Assistant will also work closely with the fellowship coordinator and other Stanford offices to provide support to the Director’s staff and policy fellows as needed.
The Program Assistant will also serve an important role within the Biodesign unit, interacting with all levels of faculty, biodesign industry leaders, trainees and staff and often sets the first impression of the Biodesign center. The Program Assistant will provide unit support including processing and submitting financial transactions related to the program, visa processing and provide general office and event support.
Please note: the Program Director works on EST hours regularly, as part of the Health Technology Policy program runs out of Washington DC. The Program Assistant will need to have a schedule that includes some EST working hours.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
High school diploma and three years of administrative experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience
