(HEO5) $74,289 to $82,603 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed-term, full-time opportunity available for 12 months due to an internal promotion.

Deliver high quality, accurate and timely audio visual support, problem solving and technical advice to the University community.

The Audio Visual Technician provides technical support for the University’s Audio Visual systems including Lecture Theatres, Tutorial spaces, specialised teaching areas and labs as well as meeting and conferencing rooms across the various campuses and medical facilities. The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for identifying and resolving incidents, advising staff and students on technical matters, providing information to the business on issues and documenting solutions.

This position delivers a quality, client focused service by applying accurate and timely audio visual support, considerable problem solving experience and technical advice to the University community, and establishing good working relationships with other professionals (e.g. vendors/contractors/specialised AV groups) in investigating and providing resolutions where possible to a range of issues.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting audio visual equipment and users in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge and experience installing and commissioning audio, video, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of videoconferencing software (such as Zoom and MS Teams) and associated hardware.
  • A working knowledge of modern network systems.
  • Experience with supporting and operating technical equipment for events and performances.
