The Opportunity

The move to online learning caused by the pandemic required hastily acquired and installed multimedia equipment in each of UCF’s classrooms. As time has progressed these installs are becoming increasingly unstable and problematic. This project request centers on cleaning, cable management, organizing, and standardizing that equipment along with preparing classrooms for HERFF-funded multimedia updates and improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Properly route and secure all loose and disorganized cables and peripherals in each classroom equipment rack.

• Check/reseat connections as needed.

• Replace low-quality USB-A to USB-A cables on HDMI capture cards with high-quality braided cables.

• Uninstall and remove Pyle lapel mics.

• Clean and dust debris from equipment and cabinets.

• Obtain a complete inventory of multimedia equipment.

• Assist Multimedia Specialists in Zone setup and organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer service.

• Organizational skills.

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining audiovisual equipment.

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Office, Teams, and PowerBi.

• Experience with ServiceNow.

• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.

• Strong work ethic.

• Attention to detail and a level of perfectionism.
