Description
Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications, the Athletics Strategic Communications Coordinator will serve as the primary communications contact for assigned sports. Incumbent will oversee all aspects of communications for assigned sports, working with external team to positively promote the Temple Athletics brand. Position will be responsible for supervising graduate extern and student workers. Will perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of two years of full-time experience in athletic communications office. Experience working with diverse populations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities
*Working knowledge of Statcrew/Genius software with particular emphasis on basketball.
*Proficiency in desktop publishing and Adobe Photoshop Ability to manage multiple collaborative projects and systems in a fast-paced environment.
*Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
*Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
*Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
*Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
*Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference and University rules.
