JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for the position of Athletics Compliance Coordinator within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Office of Ethics and Compliance. This full-time administrative position reports to the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and will assist with the administration of Penn State’s athletics compliance program and managing all associated risks. The Athletics Compliance Coordinator will assist with the administration of a comprehensive compliance program that includes rules education, monitoring, and general support of the compliance efforts of all athletes staff, student-athletes, and external constituents.

Education and experience:

Typically requires an Associate’s Degree or higher plus two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree or Juris Doctorate and experience interpreting NCAA rules, monitoring compliance activities of athletics staff members, and educating a broad constituent base. Experience with the Advanced Retail Management Systems (ARMS) platform is also preferred.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
