Do you have ideas that could inspire new app developments to make the world a better place, but don’t have experience coding? The ASU Swift Community Playground Scholarship may be the right place for you to get started.

ASU attracts passionate students from around the world that are eagerly engaged in learning how to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in our world, and develop innovative and socially responsible solutions to improve the lives of all. The ASU Swift Playgrounds Champion Scholarship program supports undergraduate students in shaping the future through entrepreneurial thinking, empathy, and community engagement to build solutions that embrace tomorrow’s opportunities.

Apple’s Community Education Initiatives and ASU’s University Technology Office recognizes that many students may have the entrepreneurial sprit and ideas but not the coding experiences or professional interests in becoming a developer, so we invite you to come learn with us and bring your ideas and interests to ASU’s Swift Champions Playground Scholarship. No previous experience with coding is required.

Based on the applicants educational goals and social impact desires, this scholarship will provides students with an Apple iPad. As a condition of the scholarship the students will be required to attend a special Swift coding workshop series to develop basic coding skills specific to the Swift coding platform. Students must complete the workshop series in order to retain the Apple iPad. There will also be opportunities to interact with a community of Swift Technology Advocates on campus. Through -the ASU Swift Community Playground Scholarship program, students will gain the basic skills needed to design and build an app that might change the world.
