The Assistant Director will be responsible for managing and coordinating the budget processes of the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and to assist the Director of Budget & Human Resources with the overall administrative functions and planning elements for the OGC.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will direct and implement ongoing budget planning processes and the development of long-term budget plans and analyses. As such, the Assistant Director will be responsible for budget monitoring, reporting and analysis. The incumbent will assist the Director with the long-range analytical spending strategies for the OGC. The Assistant Director will serve as liaison on behalf of Finance Department to both internal and external vendors and constituents and represent the department in the absence of the Director. This position administers all accounts, with signature authority over certain accounts.
He/She will oversee HR planning and administration function for the OGC. Maintain personnel records; Collaborate with Director of Budget and Human Resources to develop monitor and review OGC staffing budget and ensure appropriate funding for all appointments. Generate and facilitate appropriate supporting documents.
In addition, the Assistant Director will oversee management of facilities for multiple offices and will collaborate with the Director of Budget and Human Resources to manage all logistics for the OGC events including event planning and coordination to ensure management to budget.
Together with the Assistant Director of Business Operations will manage the department’s technology and information systems.
Provide budget and finance guidance to General Counsel in the absence in absence of the Director of Budget and Human Resources
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of related experience required, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Strong organizational and supervisory skills required, computer and word processing experience required. Ability to deal with others both inside and out of the University in a pleasant and efficient matter.
