Associate Professor: Social Work (Academic Level D)

• Based in UniSA Justice & Society at the Magill campus
• Full-time, continuing position
• Commencement Salary: $153,058 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

The Associate Professor: Social Work will be a leading expert in the
field of Social Work and Human Services.  The role will contribute
independently and as part of a team to support the Academic Unit’s
teaching and research outcomes and initiatives to maintain and develop
scholarly, research and/or professional activities.  This position will
make a significant contribution to academic leadership to support the
Unit’s teaching and learning initiatives in undergraduate, honours and
postgraduate programs.

The Associate Professor will make a distinguished contribution to the
profile of the Academic Unit through the development of a program of
collaborative research supported by competitive research grant funding,
advancing the research profile of the Unit.

Essential Skills and Experience

• A PhD in social work or relevant discipline, and a national and
  international record of achievement in social work and/or human
  services etc
• Demonstrated expertise, knowledge and a commitment to the
  contemporary practice of Social Work and/or Human Services
• Significant experience and commitment to high quality, flexible
  teaching and learning outcomes
• Evidence of sustained contribution to research activity, with a
  record of quality journal and book publications, and success in
  winning external grants to support research projects and initiatives
• Evidence of sustained contribution to the professional development
  of other staff, including leadership in peer review and mentorship
  with demonstrated research leadership through mentoring activities
