Associate Professor of Clinical – Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery

The University of Miami Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery is looking to hire an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology. Founded over 60 years ago, our Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery is one of the most respected and dynamic programs in the country. The Associate Professor of Clinical will have clinical and research responsibilities within the Department of Dermatology. The incumbent will serve as an attending physician in the Division of Dermatology, with focus on the care and treatment of patients with general dermatology conditions. The candidate will be expected to share in inpatient coverage and coverage of our telehealth service for the cruise lines with other colleagues, participation in educational conferences, department meetings, as well as scholarly work and administrative functions associated with the department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, in teaching, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group.Job Functions

Miller School of Medicine places a premium on high-quality teaching. Thus, the incumbent will be expected to participate in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as attending and actively participating in seminars and other educational lectures. Teaching also includes participating in the supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care.
