About the position
The Department of Economics is seeking a highly qualified and motivated candidate for an associate professor position in public or political economics. The position is part of NTNU’s strategic focus on young, ambitious and excellent researchers and is financed for 6-7 years. After this time, it is expected that the candidate will obtain full professor qualifications and permanent employment.
The position in public or political economics is central in the department’s strategy for high quality research. The department has an active research group and has research strengths in public sector management, political and corporate governance, the effects of political systems on economic outcomes, and the analysis of public policy interventions. The research group has generated a range of impactful, highly cited research published in leading international journals. The successful candidate will carry out cutting-edge research in these or related areas.
The Department of Economics cover a wide range of research areas such as public and political economics, urban economics, labor economics, economics of education, natural resource economics, and financial economics.
