A SELECTION PROCEDURE

  • for the selection of employees for the title and the position of an associate professor in the area of social sciences, the field of economics and the branch of finance, for a permanent employment and for a full-time position – 1 executor
  • The application must be accompanied by the following:

    • handwritten detailed CV with telephone number and email address,
    • proof of citizenship,
    • proof of the competent court that there are no criminal proceedings against the applicant (not older than 6 months),
    • electronic record of the data stored in the Register of the Croatian Institute for Pension Insurance,
    • proof of completion of relevant university studies and proof of the obtained degree of Doctor of Science in the relevant field and other documents that prove that the applicant meets the requirements,
    • description of scientific, teaching and professional activities, list of scientific and professional papers and other relevant papers

    Applicants must meet the requirements established by the Law on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (NN. 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/ 13. 139/13, 101/14, 60/15 and 131/17). By the Decision of the Rectors’ Board on the necessary requirements for the evaluation of the teaching and professional activity in the selection procedure for scientific-teaching positions (NN. 122/17) and the Rulebook for the selection procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, scientific, teaching and associate positions, as well as for corresponding positions at the University of Rijeka and the Statute of the University of Rijeka, they are obliged to provide relevant evidence.

    Applicants whose native language is not Croatian must also provide proof of knowledge of the Croatian language at the C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (verification of knowledge according at the required level may exceptionally be tested in an interview and/or in writing, if the applicant does not have a written proof of knowledge of the Croatian language). Applicants who completed their relevant education outside the Republic of Croatia must submit proof of recognition of a foreign educational qualification or a certificate of the submitted application for recognition of a foreign educational qualification.

    Applicants exercising the right of priority in employment under special regulations are required to indicate such right in their selection procedure and to submit all evidence required by special regulations for the exercise of said right, and they have priority over other applicants only under equal conditions.

    Applicants exercising the right of priority in employment on the basis of Article 102 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Family Members are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the selection procedure and to attach all evidence for the exercise of the said right. They have priority over others only under equal conditions.     Applicants who, based on Article 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War, exercise the right to priority in employment, must refer to that right in their application and attach all the evidence for the exercise of said right, and have priority over other applicants only under equal conditions.     The selection procedure is available for both genders. The terms, which refer to gender, are used neutrally and apply equally to both genders.

    For applicants who meet the requirements of the selection process, the Faculty reserves the right to conduct an assessment of knowledge and skills through testing and/or interviews. Applicants will be notified in a timely manner of the administration of the knowledge and skills test. If the applicant does not participate in the test, he/she will be considered to have withdrawn his/her application.

    The Faculty reserves the right to cancel this selection procedure partially or fully.

    By applying for this selection procedure, applicants agree that the Faculty, as the manager of the collection administrator of data, may collect, use and further process data for the purpose of conducting the selection procedure, in accordance with the provisions of the General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (NN 42/18).

    Applications must be submitted within 30 days of publication of the selection procedure. Incomplete applications and those not submitted by the deadline will not be considered.
