Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
- The position of Associate Operations Officer is assigned to the PRC Resident Mission (PRCM) within the East Asia Department (EARD). You will be based at our Resident Mission Office in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
- You will report to designated international staff (IS) and senior national staff (NS).
Your Role
- As an Associate Operations Officer, you will: (i) support strategic partnerships for mobilization of co-financing and knowledge collaboration with international and domestic co-financers; (ii) support PRCM on coordination and facilitation with Sectors Group (SG) and Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) related to sovereign operations, Public Private Partnership (PPP) and nonsovereign operations (NSO); (iii) support private sector development (PSD) team on upstream PSD work, including private sector assessments for the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS); and (iv) facilitate knowledge events and high-level meetings.
You will:
- Help develop co-financing with strategic development partners including international financial institutions and domestic policy banks;
- Facilitate collaborations for knowledge sharing events and high-level management meetings and visits.
- Support loan/TA processing and implementation for the PRCM and HQ teams;
- Work with PSOD and SG to support One-ADB sovereign and nonsovereign operations, and coordinate with clients, consultants and government agencies;
- Support private sector development (PSD) team on PSD-related upstream activities, engaging with relevant public and private entities, and conducting private sector assessments for the CPS preparatory process.
- Others: Perform any other tasks and reflected in the annual work plan.
Qualifications
You will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics or finance or related field, preferably with advanced training.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of economic analysis, financial due diligence, project management, related experience in international agencies.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English and local language.
