Job Description
The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS’ lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.
Through SCALE, working adults (i.e. professionals, managers and executives) who aspire to stay relevant and ahead of competition, companies looking to up-skill/re-skill their workforce, and even youths exploring quality tertiary education options, have access to NUS’ suite of innovative, world-class continuing and lifelong education offerings.
Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time and full-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.
About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Executive & Professional Development (EPD) Unit.
The incumbent shall be responsible for devising and implementing NUS’ strategy for alumni learning engagement to empower NUS Alumni to upskill in a timely manner and cultivate their joy of learning.
This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis; renewal is subject to satisfactory job performance.
Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.
The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Team and Stakeholder Management
• Liaise, manage and collaborate with team members from different SCALE units and others in the University to ensure effective communication and implementation.
• Maintain the quality of the team’s output to achieve objectives set.
• Effectively engage and manage stakeholders. Regular and highly personalized contact with some key stakeholders may be required.
Alumni Marketing and Engagement to drive lifelong learning
• Implement the alumni communication, marketing and publicity plan to reflect on lifelong learning opportunities effectively.
• Measure and report performance of all campaigns, and assess against goals.
• Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies to engage alumni for lifelong learning.
Project and Data Management
• Oversee alumni related projects for operational effectiveness and efficiency and achieving their intended outcome.
• Analyze datasets to reach meaningful data driven conclusions and insights.
• Attend events taking place outside of regular office hour, normally by prior arrangement and notice as needed.
• Remain highly focused, outcome-oriented and adherence to plans and deadlines.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Academic & Professional Certification
• At least a good bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Marketing Communications/PR/Business/Advertising from a reputable university
• Strong English language proficiency is essential
• IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications
Experience & Attributes:
• 8-10 years’ relevant work experience in marketing or advertising
• Proven working experience in digital marketing
• Experience in alumni engagement would be an advantage
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
• Excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis
• Strong problem solving and quantitative and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills
• High level of initiative and creativity
• Resilient, resourceful, and work well under pressure
