Associate Director, Registrar Communications

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Associate Director for Registrar Communications plans, coordinates, and executes communication plans for the Office of the University Registrar & Enrollment Management Technology. The Associate Director works closely with Enrollment Management Marketing & Communications and other units to lead communication efforts and campaigns that are intended to improve the NYU student experience and/or educate communities of practices/systems across the University. The Associate Director’s background in strategic communications and student services will enable the department to conceptualize, produce, and deliver content to better support NYU students, faculty, and administrators. The Associate Director will leverage new and existing data to assess and refine department communications and to identify opportunities to improve department messaging and service.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree
Required Experience:
5+ years communications experience
Preferred Experience:
5+ years communications experience in a higher ed context.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Expertise in communications best practices across email, web, social media and other digital channels. Proven experience conceptualizing, producing, and delivering system user training and/or storytelling content in both written and multimedia/visual forms (e.g., video, website articles, photo essays). Experience with web content management systems, email communications, analytics and reporting. Excellent writing and communications skills. The ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated effort to promoting diversity, inclusion and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Ability to develop positive relationships and demonstrate tact and diplomacy when managing or influencing change within diverse organizations.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge and prior experience with Oracle / PeopleSoft and online training applications

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,000.00 to USD $115,000.00.
