Job Summary BOWDOIN COLLEGE is hiring an Associate Director of Talent Strategy/Human Resources to join their growing HR team in Brunswick, ME. The Associate Director of Talent Strategy will have a core focus on creating and implementing talent acquisition strategy across all divisions as well as leading the charge for employment law, onboarding, employment regulations, and compliance and will serve in a consultative and advisory role to department heads.
  • Bring a consistency of policy and procedures to the talent acquisition work improving the campus culture and environment regarding diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Support the additional Recruiting staff with direct recruiting activity, sourcing, attracting talent, implementing strategy, interviewing and the full cycle of recruiting.
  • Lead staffing strategies and manage the requirements and process for J and H1B visas.
  • Work with and provide insight and strategy to department heads regarding compensation, offer negotiation, onboarding and employment law.
  • Utilize applicant tracking system and other HR technology for data tracking, reporting and analyzing trends for hiring.
Education/Skills Requirements
  • BA/BS degree or higher is required.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
  • Minimum of 7 years in Human Resources with a strong focus on Recruiting and Talent Acquisition.
  • 5 years of recruiting or staffing experience.
  • Proven success with building an effective staffing and hiring strategy.
  • Leadership and management experience is highly preferred with the ability to motivate a team.

Standard Work Days and Hours Typical hours are M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm. This is an exempt-level position and requires the time commitment necessary to successfully fulfill all of the job responsibilities.
