The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business seeks a self-motivated, high energy, innovative professional to be the Associate Director of Admissions. As the university’s largest enrolled undergraduate degree program, our goal is to support program learning objective through the enrollment of the world’s most talents and engaged students.

The Marshall School of Business, Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach, in partnership with USC’s Enrollment Services Divisions oversees complimentary recruitment and outreach service for the accounting and business administration degree programs. All formal admissions decisions are coordinated and communicated by USC’s Enrollment Services Division. At Marshall, we value access; equity; diversity and inclusion. By providing progressive, personalized impactful, comprehensive admissions and outreach interactions we embrace our ambassador role.  We elevate the college exploration and admissions process through informed, honest, and student-centered communication that helps students find their program fit. We provide recruitment services and information to prospective students and high school / community college counselors. Marshall School of Business yields over twenty-three thousand inquiries and ten thousand applications annually. Our entering class is comprised of freshmen and transfer students.

Our team of six professional admissions and administrative team coordinate, and lead programs held on-campus as well as throughout the US and abroad. In addition, the team aids in the cultivation of the application pool. Our office develops and leads conversion events for admitted students and family members. Marshall School of Business Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach works closely with the senior administration, faculty, campus/student affairs offices, current students, and alumni to execute these programs and events.

The Associate Director has a critical role in managing projects and programs strategically designed to meet our enrollment goals and reports directly to the director for early outreach. USC ardently believes in the value of student engagement. Regional and internationally held recruitment events will call for frequent travel and weekend work. Approximately 45% of the day is spent engaging with students. The incumbent will develop and nurture relationships with counselors, prospective students and their families as well as Marshall/USC community members. The incumbent will provide leadership and support to all efforts designed to meet identified enrollment targets and goals

Responsibilities and Duties

· Data management and retrieval using various internal systems, Salesforce & Marketing Cloud

· Research, report and provide data analysis

· Developing admission and recruitment strategies, measuring effectiveness

· Program management, we host over 175 on-campus events

· Provide recruitment program guidance to volunteers which include alumni; students; staff, faculty and administrators

· Seasonal travel, weekend, and after hours are required

· Support the development of the undergraduate admission’s social media strategy and creative content campaigns

· Execute day-to-day content creation, publishing, and account maintenance on USC Marshall’s social media channels

· Promote Marshall Student Ambassadors and Undergraduate Admission Events, Student Stories and USC Campus Culture. Designs and implements information campaigns distributed on social media.

· Track and analyze social media metrics, monitor social media trends and prospect engagement

· Work closely with the Senior Associate Director and Undergraduate Admissions team to create and maintain a social media marketing schedule, which includes lead generation campaigns and lead nurturing communications plans. Provides relevant content and information so that target audiences become and stay connected with USC Marshall.

· Analyze how content is performing and create reports with recommendations to management

Preferred Qualifications

The candidate should be an outstanding public speaker and enjoy working with large student & family populations. The candidate must have demonstrated success in developing recruitment/marketing/branding strategies; managing multiple projects and team building.  Candidates should also demonstrate these qualities:

· The successful candidate will possess 2+ years in counseling and academic advisement

· A reputation as a dynamic, consistent, and effective communicator with diverse age groups, socio-economic backgrounds, and national origins; ability to professionally communicate unfavorable information a with sensitivity

· Ability to build effective teams and work closely with faculty and senior administrators.

· Creativity, resourcefulness, and innovative thinking; interest in improving administrative processes and problem-solving. Proficiency with technology and customer relationship management tools is essential.

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities and fluctuating workloads

· Experience in a higher education environment, preferably in the area of business

· Strong knowledge and proven experience use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Premiere Pro

· Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite

· Counsels applicants on admission policies and procedures. Evaluates and offers solutions to applicant problems and requests regarding admission.

· Assists in the preparation of communications materials promoting admissions programs and activities, e.g., newsletters, bulletins, fact sheets, brochures, and social media outreach.

· Ability to manage sponsored projects and fundraisers

· Maintains current information on university policies affecting admissions

Anticipated Hiring Range:

$61,000.00 – $82,000.00

This range is determined using internal/external compensation data points for similar roles in our industry. We evaluate the candidate’s experience, education, and unique assets they bring to the job.  In addition, we look at equity across Marshall.
