With this comes an exciting opportunity for a proven HR leader to play a pivotal role in delivering the People Strategy through leading and developing an effective business partnering and employee relations service across the University. 

Reporting to the HR Director, you will manage and oversee a team of HR Business Partners, Head of HR, HR Consultants and HR Project Managers. You will direct business partners to deliver on our strategic aims for their client groups in the following areas: 

•    Organisational and people capability building 
•    Resource and talent management planning 
•    Using business insights to drive change in people management practices 
•    Advising on the people implications of organisational change 

And you will direct the Head of HR and the HR Consultancy team in working with their client groups on all operational activity spanning: 

•    Performance management 
•    Organisational change  
•    Employee relations

Most important will be your substantial leadership, employee relations and business partnering experience gained within a comparable sized organisation. 

CIPD qualified, you will bring to the role a working knowledge of contemporary approaches to business planning, organisational design, workforce planning, strategic resourcing, capability management, change management, and employee engagement. You will have an in-depth experience and understanding of organisational design as well as experience of leading change.

You will be a highly effective communicator with strong coaching skills who relishes the opportunity to be at the forefront of change and continuously adapt accordingly. If you meet this criteria, we would like to hear from you.
