Position Summary:
Reporting to Senior Director, Student Life and Learning (SD-SLL), the Associate Director Human Resources (HR) works closely with the SD-SLL, the Deputy Provost, and the senior executive team to develop and implement Student Life and Learning’s annual and long-term plans and priorities, to promote organizational effectiveness, to support culture change initiatives, and to ensure effective human resource management across Student Life and Learning (SLL).
The Associate Director HR is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the delivery of comprehensive Human Resource practices across Student Life and Learning and oversees the overall Human Resources portfolio in SLL, which includes Student Services, Athletics and Recreation, Student Housing and Hospitality Services, Dean of Students, the Office of Student Life and Learning, and Enrolment Services. The Associate Director HR manages special projects and advises the SD-SLL, the Deputy Provost, and the senior Executive Team on issues related to, but not limited to, recruitment and retention, performance, compensation, staff development, community engagement, and recommends courses of action. The Associate Director also guides and supports the Human Resources Advisors in the Units.
