We are seeking an experienced operational leader to play a crucial role in identifying high-level strategic linkages between university policy makers and the financial operations of the university, to ensure financial and planning processes are aligned to university-wide strategy and organisational sustainability.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and contributing as an integral member of the Finance and Planning leadership team, you’ll provide commercial advice and associated financial planning and appraisal to senior staff, develop and implement policies to effectively facilitate and continually improve financial management practices and guide the university’s planning processes.
With a recognised track record of achievement in the operational management of a team or function, your initial focus will be on managing, guiding and supporting staff through change and ensuring the consistent implementation of improved operating structures and processes.
You’ll be tertiary qualified in finance (preferably at post graduate level) and be a fully qualified member of an appropriate professional accounting body.
Key to your success will be in your ability to engage with and develop productive internal relationships across the university to enhance advisory, collaboration, consistency and compliance in financial management practices.
