Position Responsibilities
Position Summary | The Associate Dean for Research & Instruction, University Libraries is a full-time senior leadership position that reports to the Dean, University Libraries and serves as a member of the Libraries Leadership Team. In coordination with the Dean, University Libraries, the Associate Dean for Research & Instruction is responsible for coordinating Library instruction and liaison programs; overseeing digital collections, digital scholarship, and open strategies efforts; fostering a culture that supports and elevates scholarship, pursuit of grants, and professional advancement amongst Library faculty members; coordinating Library fellowships for students and non-Library faculty; and, in assigned areas, working directly with Unit Heads and Cross-Functional Team leads to set goals and measure performance indicators. |

Required Qualifications | 1) Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library program or the equivalent. 2) Must be a current University of Idaho library faculty member and hold a rank of associate/full professor with tenure. 3) Have two or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience. |
Preferred Qualifications | 1) A second master’s degree, doctorate, or specialized coursework. 2) Success in grants application. |
