| Brief Summary of Job Description | The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity (AVCRCA) is responsible for supporting and growing a culture of research and creative activity at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK). As the Chief Research Officer at UNK, the AVCRCA oversees the Office of Sponsored Programs, research development, and research integrity (compliance). The AVCRCA will work with faculty, staff, students, and administrators to strategically implement policies, procedures, and programs to support, and increase research and creative activity production and quality on campus. The AVCRCA will have a robust understanding of federal, state, foundation, and agency funding priorities, as well as federal, state, and agency compliance issues. The AVCRCA interacts with other campuses in the Nebraska University system to facilitate collaboration on research and creative activity and funding as well as the development and submission of extramural funding proposals from the Division of Academic Affairs. |
| Job Duties |

| Required Qualifications | Terminal degree plus five years of experience in grants management/proposal development, grant writing, and post-award oversight. Managerial experience including task prioritization. Experience with research development and integrity systems and regulations. |
| Preferred Qualifications | PhD preferred. |

| Schedule | M-F, 8 am – 5 pm, 40 hours |
