Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

This position is responsible for carrying out a full range of complex and confidential administrative assignments on behalf of the Director of Bioproducts, Sciences, and Engineering Lab (BSEL) and CO-Director of the WSUPNNL Bioproducts Institute. Duties include but are not limited to providing administrative support to the including developing and crafting communication, purchasing support, and other administrative functions. This position is responsible for managing the Director’s calendar. Work and information handled is of a nature regularly requiring confidentiality and the exercise of discretion.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible management work experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and a willingness to take initiative.
Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working with Executive and other high profile individuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Washington State University business/fiscal policies, procedures and systems.
