Assistant Professor with Specialization in Econometrics

The Department of Economics at The University of Western Ontario invites applications for one probationary (tenure track) position at the rank Assistant Professor. This position is affiliated with our Master of Financial Economics program. The research specialization for the appointment can be in Econometrics, Financial Econometrics, Financial Economics, International Finance, Macroeconomics, or Microeconomic Theory. The position requires teaching in Western’s Master of Financial Economics program. Unless otherwise specified, this appointment is effective July 1, 2026, but an alternate starting date may be arranged.

A probationary appointment requires course delivery primarily in the Master of Financial Economics Program with additional courses in the Economics undergraduate and graduate programs. The position also requires supervision of graduate students, maintaining an active research program including applying for external grant funds and some administrative duties.
