Department of Literatures in English
The Cornell University Department of Literatures in English seeks applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Renaissance/Early Modern literatures and cultures.
We welcome applications from scholars eager to contribute to the renewal of early and contemporary literary history and theory through the Global Early Modern Studies working group; a newly revised transnational undergraduate curriculum; and a Department committed to a wide range of approaches to global anglophone literatures and cultures, including race and ethnic studies; feminist gender and sexuality studies; colonial and decolonial studies, and media studies. The Department is looking for candidates who can support our growing diverse student body through advising and inclusive teaching approaches. A Ph.D. is required by June 2023.
