| Position Summary | The Department of Business Information & Technology in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified applicants for an instructor position effective Spring or Fall 2023. This is a 9-month non-tenure-track appointment. Hiring is contingent on final budget approval. Candidates with an appropriate master’s degree and significant related experience will be considered. Ph.D. in management information systems or related discipline is desired. Prior college teaching experience in areas related to introductory information systems, systems analysis and design, programming, and online instruction is desired. Responsibilities include; effectively delivering course instruction, evaluating student learning, participating in related department activities, and complying with all College and University regulations. Instructors normally teach four 3-credit courses per semester. For this position, the instructor will be responsible for teaching on-ground and/or on-line sections that could include MIS3210 Critical Thinking Using Analytics, MIS 7650 Global Information Systems, MIS 7610 Systems Analysis and Design, MIS 7671 Project Change Management, or other courses as needed. |
