| Description | Ball State University’s Department of English invites applications for a tenure- track position in TESOL/linguistics available August 2023. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), advising MA research projects, engaging in departmental and university service, working with local schools and community partners, and collaborating across departments and colleges at BSU that support teacher training. |
| Minimum Qualifications | Ph.D. or Ed.D. in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education or related field expected from an accredited college or university by August 1, 2023; must have research agenda and record of effective teaching, including experience as a licensed teacher. |

| College/Department Information | The Department of English offers majors and minors in literature, creative writing, professional writing, English education, and applied linguistics, including teacher preparation licenses for English as a New Language; the department also offers graduate programs in many of these areas, including an MA in TESOL and Linguistics. Students in all programs work with creative, dedicated faculty to explore a variety of texts and contexts, with an eye to becoming better writers, more innovative thinkers, and more thoughtful citizens who can engage in a diverse, globalized world. |
