Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Radiology
Diagnostic Imaging – Neuroradiology
The Division of Neuroradiology in the Radiology Department at UHealth, University of Miami Health System and the University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track. The University offers a competitive salary relative to academia for this shift position, which is enhanced by an attractive benefits package.
Responsibilities of the candidate include providing interpretations of plain film, CT and MR studies. The position involves coverage from 2-9 pm Mon-Fri and 1-9 pm on Sat/Sun on a 1 week on/1 week off schedule . This includes a combination of remote and on-site coverage.
The successful applicant will join 11 fellowship trained CAQ’ed neuroradiologists; the applicant will interpret images from multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital, a 1600-bed primary and tertiary care County hospital, and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics (including its satellites). The latter includes an acute care in-patient facility, UHealth Tower, with 550-beds. In addition, plans are underway to further expand the University of Miami footprint in South Florida in the form of additional clinics and ambulatory centers.
The Division of Neuroradiology trains many radiology residents and medical students and offers a one-year neuroradiology fellowship (6 fellows per year). There are also various research opportunities, with a dedicated research magnet available. Responsibilities include: providing clinical care/consultation, teaching of trainees, service, and potential involvement in research.
The potential candidate must have completed their radiology training and have passed the ABR core exam (or ABR-certified), be eligible for a Florida unrestricted medical license, and should have completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology, being eligible for (or CAQ in) Neuroradiology.
