Qualifications
The successful candidates will hold an earned Doctorate at the time of the appointment in the Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics/Related field. The Mathematics Department at Hampton University (HU) hosts the Center for Fusion Research and Training (CFRT). The CFRT is the first and only fusion research and training center at an HBCU in the nation and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The research in the CFRT is focused on applied mathematics research in fusion science and on the application of nonlinear dynamics to fusion. Candidates with expertise in these areas are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will engage undergraduate and graduate students and build an exemplary research and publication program.
