About the Faculty

About the Position 
The Faculty of Education invites applications for an Instructional Limited term Appointment in the Department of Educational Studies. The position involves teaching foundation courses in educating exceptional learners across all three divisions (PJ, JI and IS) in the Teacher Education Program, the Technological Education Program, and Mental Health and Wellness courses in Undergraduate Educational Studies.
The appointment will commence July 1, 2026.

Qualifications  
The successful candidate will have a completed Doctorate in Educational Psychology, School Psychology, Special Education, Inclusive Education or a related field. Having a license to practice autonomously in the province of Ontario as a Clinical Psychologist (C. Psych) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and registration with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) is an asset.

Preferred candidates will have: (1) experience in university teaching and curriculum development in face-to-face and blended learning environments, particularly in inclusive education, special education, trauma-based education and/or mental health and wellness ; (2) experience working in elementary and/or secondary schools as a psychologist, psychotherapist or educator; (3) evidence of strong connections with local, national and international organizations dedicated to the promotion of mental health and wellness, inclusive education, special education and/or trauma-informed education.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to decolonization, reconciliation, anti-racism, and social and ecological justice issues in teaching, research, and service.

The target hiring range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 per annum. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, internal equity and budget considerations.
