Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing

The Faculty of Nursing delivers excellent nursing education across four academic Departments, which collectively offer a Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN), Psychiatric Nursing Diploma, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bridge to Canadian Nursing Certificate and other post-credential learning experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply for an entry-level, full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing, commencing July 1, 2026. As an Assistant Professor you will teach undergraduate nursing students in various settings (mostly classroom and possibly lab) and inspire student learning across departments and programs within the Faculty of Nursing.

You must have a terminal degree (Master’s required, PhD preferred) in a nursing related field with experience in an area of need. You will demonstrate a primary commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and be committed to developing and sustaining an ongoing program of research. You will have curriculum development experience and have a passion for innovation in nursing education.

Applicants must have unencumbered licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and/or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) as well as meet the Requisite Skills and Abilities of the applicable profession(s).
